AMBASSADORIAL TEAM

NANYANG POLYTECHNIC

The Team was established on 1st August, 1995 as a pool of student leaders to be frontline representatives of the Polytechnic, while assisting in NYP-hosted events. Since then, the Ambassadorial Team (A-Team) has grown into a reliable and much sought-after group of students whose strengths include professional yet sincere hospitality, enthusiastic and attentive mindfulness.

Usually donning smart-looking blazers, our poised and friendly ambassadors are groomed to exude confidence and a professional image. Besides formal events in school such as Graduation Ceremonies, our Ambassadors are also deployed at external events such as the Singapore International Water Week and Singapore Health & Biomedical Congress, to name a few.

As Ambassadors, we strive to uphold the name and image of Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), as well as promote public awareness of our school. Working with NYPs best interests in mind, we offer our services to assist in any function hosted by NYP, as well as non-scholastic events that allow us to represent NYP with pride.

OUR MISSION
OUR LOGO

The Oak Tree is evergreen, strong and steady, signifying the team's fortitude and perseverance in branching out to society through a dedication to service. The earth represents the ground NYP grows from, its roots the bond we have with our school and the leaves the many ambassadors who have pledged their time and effort to the team.

A-Team Leadership and Management

A-Team Leadership and Management

Leadership is great not because of its power, but because it empowers others. Here, Lei Anni takes charge of a group project during 2016's A-Team Leadership and Management Summit.

"What are you doing for others?"

Taken during NYP's A-Team/CSC Love Navigator and Upcycling 2015, Anggun Qistina listens to a secondary school student's queries. NYP and Anderson Secondary School has been collaborating for outreach and community service for student development.

For the community.

For the community.

On 30th April, 6 Ambassadors, pictured Tang Li Hui, volunteered to provide companionship to elderly patients to visit Gardens By The Bay. Organised by the Home Nursing Foundation, the visit allowed the seniors to enjoy the wonderful display of tulips and flowers, with the accompaniment of volunteers and caregivers.

Age To Excellence And Maturity

The motto for A-Team's Installation 2016 and for its 21st year, it marks how much our Team has grown and shaped to be the corps it is today.
